Alan Nahigian

Welcome to another week in the Roaring Fork Valley! This is Week in the Arts, a curated list of upcoming exhibitions and events.

The new exhibit "6 X 17" opens at the Aspen Chapel Gallery on Wednesday. The work of 102 students from six area high schools is on display. An opening reception starts at 5 p.m.

Country and bluegrass star John McEuen plays the Glenwood Vaudeville Revue on Thursday. McEuen is a founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

It’s time for Aspen’s annual Winterskol celebration! The festivities kick off Thursday at the Wheeler Opera House with a production of Aspen History 101, a comic and musical re-enactment of the area’s history. It’s followed by a screening of the classic ski film “Aspen Extreme.” Costumes are encouraged.  The evening starts at 5:30 p.m.
