Week In The Arts: May 27 - June 2, 2019

Welcome to another week in the Roaring Fork Valley! This is Week in the Arts, a curated list of upcoming exhibits and events.

 

The Aspen Chapel Gallery opens the exhibit "Sense of Place" in partnership with Habitat for Humanity on Wednesday. Ten local ceramicists and mixed-media artists’ work will be displayed. An opening reception begins at 5 p.m.

Also Wednesday, the Crystal Theatre in Carbondale hosts "Seeking Refuge." The two short films about seeking asylum in America will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers and a local immigration attorney. The event starts at 5:30 p.m.

On Thursday, the outgoing director and of the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, Adam Lerner, speaks at the Aspen Art Museum. The event begins at 5:00 p.m.
