The environmental documentary “Escape from Extinction” makes its Aspen premiere at the Isis Theatre on Friday. The film is narrated by Helen Mirren, and proceeds go to animal welfare group American Humane.

Thunder River Theater Company kicks off its newest production “Annapurna” virtually this week. Audiences can buy tickets online and stream the performance from their living rooms. The show runs from Friday, Oct. 16 until Saturday, Oct. 24.

Kirsten was born and raised in Massachusetts, and has called Colorado home since 2008. She moved to Vail the day after graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2011. Before relocating to Basalt in 2020, she also spent a year living in one of Aspen’s sister cities, Queenstown, New Zealand.
