Wednesday, the Basalt Library shows the film "The Sisters Brothers" as a part of the Books on the Big Screen series. The movie starts at 5 p.m.
During Carbondale’s First Friday celebration, the new exhibit Interwoven: Fiber & Clay opens at the Carbondale Clay Center. The show features collaborative works from artists from the Colorado creative districts of Carbondale and Salida. An opening reception begins at 6 p.m.
This weekend, the Balloon Festival runs Friday through Sunday in Snowmass Village’s Town Park, with hot air balloon launches all three days. Saturday also sees Ciderfest on the Snowmass Mall and Septemberfest in Base Village.
