Sep 28, 2020

This is Week In The Arts—a curation of virtual events, exhibits and reopenings around the Roaring Fork Valley.

The Basalt Regional Library hosts outdoor story time from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct.1.  The event is aimed at kids age 3 to 5, and families are encouraged to bring their own seating. Masks are required for attendees over 2 years old.

Aspen Historical Society’s Wheeler/Stallard Museum is currently open to the public. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday. One hour each day, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., is reserved for elderly guests and those with compromised immune systems.

Anderson Ranch Arts Center hosts “2020: photographing a year of change.” The online event is moderated by TIME Magazine’s Director of Photography Katherine Harris Pomerantz. New York Times staff photographer James Estrin, Pulitzer Prize-winning Washington Post photographer Salwan Georges and documentary filmmaker and photographer Isadora Kosofsky will be part of the discussion. Registration is free on the art campus’s website.
