Week In The Arts: September 14-20, 2020

Local artist Nancy Lovendahl's exhibition is currently on display at the Art Base in Basalt.

This is Week In The Arts—a curation of virtual events, exhibits and reopenings around the Roaring Fork Valley.

Local artist Nancy Lovendahl’s multimedia exhibition “Small Glimpses, Many Times” is on display at the Charles J. Wyly Gallery at the Art Base. The collection can be viewed until Thursday, Oct. 8.

Aspen’s Gonzo Gallery is displaying work by longtime Woody Creek fixture Michael Cleverly. The artist’s exhibition includes hand carved totem poles, and can be viewed until Sunday, Sep. 20.

Carbondale Arts hosts “Crazy About You: A Musical Notes Concert” on Friday. The musical performance features violinist MinTze Wu and other local musicians, and will be held at Thompson House. Attendance is free, and limited to the first 50 “pods” of two who register for the event.

 

 

Kirsten was born and raised in Massachusetts, and has called Colorado home since 2008. She moved to Vail the day after graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2011. Before relocating to Basalt in 2020, she also spent a year living in one of Aspen’s sister cities, Queenstown, New Zealand.
