Last month Aspen Public Radio journalists Halle Zander and Eleanor Bennett won two national first-place awards from the Public Media Journalists Association, after Halle Zander, Eleanor Bennett, Kaya Williams, and Caroline Llanes were presented with five awards during the 2024 Top of the Rockies “Excellence in Journalism” competition –on behalf of Society of Professional Journalists chapters in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Wyoming. And in May, all four also were given statewide recognition, winning a total of eight awards from the Colorado Broadcasters Association.
