There will be no USA Pro Challenge this year. In a statement released today, event CEO director Shawn Hunter said there isn’t enough time in 2016 to shift to new ownership and have the event.
Hunter says the goal now is to have the pro cycling race up and running for 2017. Hunter and others are “forming a new ownership group” for the race. The Pro Challenge has been a yearly event since 2011, with appearances in Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley.
