On Tuesday, the Garfield County Commissioners approved a question to go on the November 2017 ballot. If it passes, it will raise property taxes to create a “Museum and Historic Preservation Fund.”
This would provide a funding mechanism for the county’s seven historical societies that are currently all struggling financially.
