The Carbondale Wild West Rodeo kicks off tonight at seven-thirty at Gus Darien Arena for a night of roping, riding and barrel racing.
Cowboys, cowgirls and clowns will take to the ring to compete in the first of seven summer events . The rodeo is in it’s sixteenth season and includes bull riding, roping, and mutton busting - where children ride or race sheep, as well as kid’s calf scramble.
Local’s will compete rain or shine every thursday night through August.
