Conundrum Creek Trailhead Closed After Avalanche

The Forest Service has closed the popular Conundrum Creek Trailhead after an avalanche on March 9 buried it in 30 feet of snow.

The agency says conditions on Conundrum Creek Road are dangerous and vehicles are prohibited from parking near the trailhead.

The trail itself is open, but buried under fallen timber and snow. The trailhead, which is used for Conundrum Hot Springs, one of the most popular hikes in the state, could stay closed until this fall.
