I-70 was closed for several hours Tuesday between Rulison and the West Rifle exit.
A man was allegedly stabbed, following an altercation with several others.
When officers from the Colorado State Patrol and the Garfield County Sheriff’s office arrived around 11 a.m., the man who was reported to have been stabbed was hiding in the hillside nearby. Officers decided to close the interstate and Highway 6, in case the man had a gun.
The man was taken into custody around 2:30 in the afternoon.
