City of Aspen residents have again identified the health of the Roaring Fork River as a top concern.
Residents who took the City of Aspen Citizen Survey were asked to rank how important it is for the city government to take action on 11 potential issues. Eighty-five percent of respondents said it was very important or essential to protect the Roaring Fork River. This ranks above other key issues, like ensuring access to workforce housing, managing and reducing traffic and increasing childcare availability.
More respondents this year said it's important for the city to increase access to affordable, locally grown food and to improve bike and pedestrian connectivity.
