Snowmass Village tax collections saw 6 growth percent in 2018, almost double the growth seen in Aspen.
Over 75 percent of Snowmass’ sales taxes are collected in winter, meaning they’re highly dependent on snowfall and visitors. This year’s steady snow combined with the development at Snowmass Base Village accounted for much of 2018’s growth.
The town projects an additional 3 percent sales tax revenue increase in 2019.
