The Aspen Skiing Company is making snow on Aspen and Snowmass ski resorts.
Aspen Mountain received 11 inches of snowfall this week. Now that temperatures are consistently cool enough to maintain snowmaking, SkiCO says snow guns are at work on the slopes.
On Aspen Mountain, efforts are concentrated on Deer Park, Spar Gulch and Little Nell trails. The guns are also blowing at the Meadows at Snowmass and the Aspen Valley Ski & Snowboard Club training area on Highlands. Snowmaking will start at Buttermilk in mid-November.
Aspen Mountain and Snowmass open on Nov. 22, which is Thanksgiving Day, followed by Buttermilk on Dec. 8.
