Week In The Arts: Oct. 21 - 27, 2019

Welcome to another week in the Roaring Fork Valley! This is Week in the Arts, a curated list of upcoming exhibitions and events.

Monday, Jennetta Howell takes the stage at Thunder River Theatre Companyfor her debut cabaret performance. The evening of music and storytelling begins at 7 p.m. 

 

Friday, the Harvey Preston Gallery in Aspen opens a new exhibit featuring the ceramics of longtime local artist and Anderson Ranch instructor Bradley Walters. A galler\y talk starts at 6 p.m. 

Saturday, author Polly Letofsky discusses her memoir “ 3mph: The Adventures of One Woman's Walk Around the World” at the Basalt Library. Letofsky is the first woman to circumnavigate the globe on foot; her journey started in Basalt.  The author talk begins at 5 p.m. 

 

Sopris Theatre’s run of “Hope and Gravity” continues at Colorado Mountain College’s Spring Valley campus this weekend.  The play looks at what happens to nine people when their elevator breaks down. The production starts at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday.
