Snowmass Arts Advisory Board Puts Out Call To Artists For New Installation

Town Of Snowmass Village

The Snowmass Village Arts Advisory Board wants to see a new public art piece near the entrance of town by next summer.

The installation will be placed by Town Park Station by the Snowmass Rec Center. The town’s arts advisory board is taking applications from artists through the end of March.

The arts board will then select finalists to submit proposals for the actual project.  After presentations from the artists, the board will recommend one project to city council for final approval.

The artist chosen will receive up to $100,000 to create the piece.  The arts advisory board aims to select the finalist by the end of May and have the final piece installed by July 4, 2020.
