Episode Five - Aging

May 16, 2019

Today, we look inside your body and get familiar with your immune system’s constant vigilance against infection and disease. We also look at your body over time; what happens as you age?  Is there a way to stay young? And why do we value that so much?

We turn to the research and insights of the speakers of the Aspen Ideas Health conference for the answers. Aspen Ideas Health runs from June 20  - June 23, and is produced by the Aspen Institute.

Episode Three - Access

May 15, 2019

Today we look at Health, wealth, and the ethics and values of medicine. How can we ensure everyone has access to care, even if they can’t afford it? And how can we improve healthcare, or continue researching medicine, if it isn't profitable? When is it right to raise prices on drugs? What are we saying we value when we make policy decisions about health, and healthcare? And even if we perfect the system, what does it matter if the majority of the population has no way to access physicians, medicine, or even fresh produce and clean drinking water.
