Episode Three - Access

Today we look at Health, wealth, and the ethics and values of medicine. How can we ensure everyone has access to care, even if they can’t afford it? And how can we improve healthcare, or continue researching medicine, if it isn't profitable? When is it right to raise prices on drugs? What are we saying we value when we make policy decisions about health, and healthcare? And even if we perfect the system, what does it matter if the majority of the population has no way to access physicians, medicine, or even fresh produce and clean drinking water.

We turn to the research and insights of the speakers of the Aspen Ideas Health conference for the answers. Aspen Ideas Health runs from June 20  - June 23, and is produced by the Aspen Institute.

Episode Three explores the conference tracks Health and Wealth and Ethics, Values, and Health and features Edinah Masiyiwa, Esther Choo, Nora McInerny, Jennie Joseph, Ali Raja, Crystal Hall, Nasha Fitter, Dawn Laguens and Donald Warne.
