A judge in Aspen has allowed prosecutors to delay the first major hearing in the case of Nancy Pfister. Three people are charged with murdering Pfister months ago, and were scheduled to appear in court next week. Now that won’t happen until later this month.
The District Attorney’s office asked to push the hearing back because a lead investigator on the case is scheduled to be on vacation next week. The prosecution said they couldn’t proceed in the hearing without her… but also couldn’t ask the investigator to cancel her vacation. The hearing will now start on Wednesday June 25th. Nancy Pfister was found dead in her home in late February. Longtime local Kathy Carpenter and a couple from the Front Range are charged with murdering her.
