Rep. Jared Polis visits Aspen as governor-hopeful

Congressman Jared Polis is hoping to become Colorado’s next governor and will be in Aspen on Saturday at an event hosted by Pitkin County Democrats.

Since 2008, Polis has represented the states 2nd District, which is made up of 10 counties, including Boulder and Summit counties.

Polis is one of nine Democratic candidates vying to become the party’s gubernatorial candidate in November’s election.

Both Republicans and Democrats will caucus for their candidates in early March. To caucus either as a Democrat, or a Republican, you must be registered with the parties by Monday, Jan. 8.
