There are 100 hopefuls for 50 remaining booths at Carbondale’s Mountain Fair this year.
Applicants include painters and photographers, as well as an increasing number of designers who create eco-friendly, upcycled clothing.
In March, a jury will decide the final lineup. Alta Otto, vendor coordinator for the festival, said they take into account perennial fan-favorites. She said jewelry is popular at the festival and will be well-represented this year.
Another round of applications will open in May for a locals’ booth, open to artists who are Carbondale residents and also members of Carbondale Arts, the festival's host organization.
