The US Attorney’s office announced Wednesday that Glenwood Springs resident Luis Alfonso Aragon Gallegos has pleaded guilty to twenty-two counts of creating child pornography.

Gallegos, 29, faces at least fifteen years in prison for making child pornography. “The creation of smartphones with the ability to easily take video and still photography,” said US Attorney’s Office spokesperson Jeff Dorschner on Wednesday. “More and more people are producing their own child pornography.”

Gallegos was arrested in 2015, and was investigated by the FBI with help from local law enforcement. He’s expected to be sentenced in April.
