Former president and now-formal presidential candidate Donald Trump has finally announced his selection for his running mate: Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance.

The congressman who once criticized Donald Trump privately to his friends and colleagues is now one of Trump’s most aggressive defenders on Capitol Hill.
