The Art Base hosts regular art classes. This past weekend, they hosted a class on how to take perfect pictures on your iPhone. What sort of apps do you use? How do you use lighting? Summers Moore is a photographer based in the Valley who taught the class.
Highlights of their conversation...
Finding the right app..
" I think basic photography is helpful but not necessary, because the editing end of it is so large and easy these days. Mostly it's finding the app that works for you. The basic (iPhone Camera) app has most of the basics...many filters and it's super simple to use. That'd be a good place to start."
On why phones are good for photography...
"The key to everything is 'quick and slick ' these days. It's more immediate than it used to be. To have the ability to take an image and work on it for a minute and then from there ...then go use the phone for email. It's all condensed into one small, powerful package."
