Aspen’s biggest post World Cup Finals party continues with more events, including the 2017 Bud Light Hi-Fi free concert series.
The World Cup Village at Wagner Park is bumping post morning runs with autograph signings, photo ops, live performances and more. Locals are joined by visitors from all over the world to celebrate the races.
Bill Zeller is from West Vail. He said he traveled to Aspen for the races, but also for the people.
"When a World Cup comes to a place like Aspen, it's a melting pot of people from Europe,” he said. “I mean, this is what this circuit’s all about, having a good time and making the most out of life.”
A pop-up collection of ski racing artifacts from the Aspen Historical Society, an art exhibit of local works and live ice and marble sculpting also characterize the event. Three bars specific to wine, beer and cocktails are also available.
Blues band Vintage Trouble kicked off the Bud Light Hi-Fi concert series last night. Tonight gypsy punk rockers Gogol Bordello will take the stage. Tomorrow it’s Michael Franti and Spearhead’s turn to headline.
