The 39th annual Aspen Filmfest kicks off Tuesday at The Wheeler Opera House, with screenings and panel discussions also occurring at the ISIS Theatre in Aspen and the Crystal Theatre in Carbondale through Sunday. For the complete schedule, visit aspenfilm.org.
Thursday, there will be a reception for The Ann Korologos Gallery’s latest exhibition “Out of the West: Landscapes” starting at 5 p.m. in Basalt.
Friday as part of its 20th Anniversary Celebration, the Carbondale Clay Center presents the exhibition “Past Is Prologue” featuring the work of the organization’s founder Diane Kenney.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the Glenwood Vaudeville Revue presents the production of its fall musical “Little Shop of Horrors.” Each showing begins at 7:30 p.m.
Friday and Saturday, Thunder River Theatre Company presents its production of the play “Dead Man’s Cell Phone” at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee performance Sunday at 2 p.m.
Friday at the Belly Up, southern rock-blues band North Mississippi Allstars will play with Boulder’s Flash Mountain Flood starting at 8 p.m.
Saturday in Basalt, Magician Doc Murdock will perform at The Temporary as part of the venue’s Kids Kulture series. That show starts at 3 p.m.
Then, on Saturday at 7:30 p.m., The Temporary presents The Ellyn Rucker Trio from Denver.
Saturday in Carbondale, The Launchpad and Batch will host an “Art Heist and Speakeasy” at 5:30 p.m.
