The “Ars Nova Singers” will perform at the Aspen Community Church, in collaboration with the Aspen Historical Society. The vocal ensemble from Boulder specializes in a cappella music of the Renaissance and the 20th and 21st centuries. The program begins with a presentation at 6 p.m. about the history of local churches and the culture of music they’ve fostered… It will be followed by the Ars Nova performance at 6:30, with a musical selection that connects to Aspen’s early years and the community’s spiritual centers.
