Emergency Preparedness | Ready and Resilient Community Event
Emergency Preparedness | Ready and Resilient Community Event
Join us on Monday, Sept. 22, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Aspen Police Department to learn how to prepare yourself in the event of an emergency – specifically a wildfire.
With recent wildfires occurring in the state, as nearby as Meeker and Eagle County, this emergency preparedness event is critical for community members to attend.
Topics that presenters will discuss include how to assemble a “go bag” with your necessities, including important documents and medication, when a potential evacuation is ordered, and making a family checklist and understanding what pre-evacuation and shelter-in-place orders mean.
This is an extremely dry year, and the Roaring Fork Valley is susceptible to wildfire here at home.
Ready & Resilient is an in-person event with a virtual attendance option available. To sign up or attend virtually, follow this link.
