Sol Sandoval, a Democrat, spoke with Piktin County Democrats at the Aspen Police Department last week.

Nine Democrats are hoping they will be the candidate who faces off against U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., in November's general election.

But first, they need to win the Democratic primary for the state’s biggest district in June.

Sol Sandoval, a former social services worker from Pueblo, is one of those candidates.

She made her case to Pitkin County Democrats last week that she is the candidate who can beat Boebert and best serve the 3rd Congressional District.

Sandoval spoke with reporter Caroline Llanes about what she thinks are the biggest issues facing the district.
