Aspen 2019 Election: 1A Passes; Mesirow, Richards Elected To City Council

The 1A development was approved by a narrow margin; 26 votes decided the fate of the new chairlift and plaza.

Skippy Mesirow and Rachel Richards were elected to city council. Unofficial results show Richards with 1,729 votes in her favor while Mesirow garnered 1,433 votes.

 

Torre and Ann Mullins will face each other in a runoff election for Mayor on April 2. According to unofficial results, Torre received 1,281 votes and Mullins got 940. Frisch was third with 838 votes and Mitchell had 83. According to city charter, must receive 50 percent of the vote, plus one. 

 

The election saw record-breaking turnout. Over 3,000 voters cast ballots in the first-ever March election.
