Intercept Lot Gets $4 Million In Upgrades

Improvements are coming to the Brush Creek Park and Ride, thanks to a federal grant.

Updates to the intercept lot include expanded parking, security lighting and flush toilets. The expansion will double the number of paved parking spaces to around 400.

This is due to a $1.9 million grant from the Federal Lands Access Program through the Department of Transportation.

The Elected Officials Transportation Committee, which is made up of members of Snowmass Village Council, Aspen City Council and Pitkin County Commissioners, will match the federal grant with local money. The public can provide feedback in the coming weeks and construction should start in 2020.
