Three Aspen High Students Win Art Award

Feb 11, 2019

Three Aspen High School students were recognized this month with the Scholastic Art and Writing Award.

The artistic achievements include prizes for their work in ceramics, printmaking and photography.

Emma Ellis’ print piece, “Jellyfish,” was awarded the Gold Key: A top prize that gives access to scholarships from Colorado colleges. It will move on to another round of judging for a chance to be exhibited in New York City.

The works go on display at the History Colorado Center in Denver on Feb. 15, and there is an award ceremony in March.
