Mountain Edition - August 22, 2013

The USA Pro Challenge is making its way across the state. On Wednesday, crowds lined Rabbit Ears Pass as the cyclists made their way into Steamboat Springs.

With all the doping news surrounding the sport of pro cycling, we wondered what’s being done at the Pro Challenge. We talk with one of the people at the center of dope testing during the race. We hear how it works.

During the race, Aspen Public Radio's Elise Thatcher caught a ride in one of the team cars that makes up the convoy behind the riders. She gives an insider's look.

At the Maroon Bells outside of Aspen, lots of moose have been spotted. Moose populations in Colorado are healthier than ever, which isn’t the case in other western states.

And, Aspen Public Radio's Rebecca Kruth talks to a young woman from Afghanistan about women’s rights in the war-torn country.
