The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment has released the latest on job numbers in the Roaring Fork Valley. The unemployment rate dropped in Pitkin, Eagle, and Garfield counties, from last January to this January.
Garfield County saw a drop from 6.8 percent to 4.9 percent. Eagle County went from 5.1 to 3.4 percent. And Pitkin County dropped from 4.5 percent to 3.5. Statewide, the unemployment rate also went down over the last year. Colorado as a whole dropped from 5.8 percent to nearly 4 percent.
