This week on Valley Roundup:
- A marijuana grow facility in the Holland Hills neighborhood was granted permission to continue operating as long as it keeps the stink under control.
- Is paradise lost here in the valley? The Glenwood Post Independent ran a series and produced a documentary that profiles residents and captures the sacrifices they make to live here. Low wages, lack of housing and disconnection of community are growing issues.
- And if a lack of housing is such an issue doesn’t a proposal in the midvalley that includes 400 houses deserve more consideration?
- Meanwhile, a developer in Aspen has changed his affordable lodge proposal to include parking underground. When it was approved by council, he was given a variance to not provide on-site parking, which has triggered a ballot measure asking that it not be built.
Guests this week are: Lorenzo Semple, columnist for the Aspen Daily News, Curtis Wackerle, editor of the Aspen Daily News and Randy Essex, editor of the Glenwood Post Independent.
