UPDATED: State Patrol names Glenwood Springs hit and run victim

The Colorado State Patrol has identified a Glenwood Springs man killed in a hit and run earlier this week on Interstate 70. The agency says Gavan Brouillette was likely struck by a semi truck on Wednesday night.

The twenty-year-old victim had hit a guardrail near Dotsero, about 14 miles east of Glenwood Springs. After Brouillette stepped outside of his car, he was struck and killed by another vehicle. “The vehicle is either one of two different semis that were in the area at the time,” says Colorado State Patrol Trooper Josh Lewis. “However we don’t have very much in regards to what the semis look like.” That’s based on fuzzy camera footage. The accident happened after 8pm, at mile marker 130. It's near a long stretch of construction that has limited traffic to one side of the road.
