Non-Profit in the Spotlight: Aspen Poets' Society, Part 3

aspen_poets_society_logo.jpg

Poet Cam Scott moved to the Roaring Fork Valley eight years ago. He writes a poem every day, and has been doing so for decades. He said that his first order of business after moving was to find a local poetry group. He found that in the Aspen Poets' Society.

Scott discusses the evolving poetry movement on Colorado's Western Slope and how poetry has helped shaped his life. Kim Nuzzo, co-founder and president of the Aspen Poets' Soceity, also contributes.

Cornelia was born and raised in Aspen and is happy to be home after attending the University of Denver, where she earned degrees in Geography and Studio Art. Since graduating in 2011, she has illustrated several local children’s books, made maps around the world, and continues to draw and paint. In the summer of 2011, Cornelia was a Development intern at The Aspen Institute, and returned to work for The Aspen Ideas Festival in the summer of 2012.
