RFTA fall schedule starts today

Today marks the start of the fall schedule for the Roaring Fork Valley Transportation Authority. This means that local valley bus services will reduce in frequency and will not run as late at night and on weekends.

Certain services will discontinue until Thanksgiving weekend, such as the City of Aspen Crosstown Shuttle and Woody Creek service.

VelociRFTA Bus Rapid Transit commuter service and the Carbondale Circulator will run only on weekdays. Information about specific routes is available at rfta.com.

Also, tomorrow is the grand opening of the New Castle Park and Ride. The lot includes 65 parking spaces and a charging station for electric vehicles. A celebration of the opening will take place starting at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow morning and will include a ribbon cutting, speeches and refreshments. It is open to the public.
