Aspen Public Radio’s arts and culture reporter Claire Woodcock explained why she’s so passionate about supporting public media.

“I rely on NPR for insightful news coverage, especially when I'm driving,” Woodcock said. “Honestly, it's a constant highlight of the day. I can listen to APR as I'm driving from Glenwood Springs to Aspen. All the while, Morning Edition is telling me about a one-way ticket from D.C. to anywhere. This all happens before I even get to the station. Radio storytelling is an art form, and APR is getting it right. The ambition to tell stories that matter, to continue looking for ways to expand coverage and to really listen to local voices makes APR a major valley resource."
