More than 20,000 people in Western Colorado rely on Mountain Family Health Centers for primary care, like physical exams and teeth cleaning. The clinics also provide behavioral health care.
Most of their patients are either on Medicaid or don’t have health insurance.
The U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration awarded Mountain Family over $100,000 for its quality health care.
The non-profit plans to use the money to improve their electronic medical records system, among other things.
