Hanging Lake Shuttle Contract Awarded

The City of Glenwood Springs and the Forest Service have chosen H20 Ventures to run a new shuttle system for Hanging Lake.

Hanging Lake is considered a natural landmark and a geologic wonder. In years past, there have been as many as 1,000 daily visitors, according to the Forest Service.

That changes this summer: H20 Ventures will run a shuttle to Hanging Lake from May through October for $12 per person.

The idea is to limit visits to 600 people each day. The shuttle service launches in May.
