The developer eyeing the Pan and Fork property in downtown Basalt has a new plan. A recent financial analysis concludes, however, the developer could do more to help the town pay for infrastructure.
Basalt River Park, LLC, wants to build apartments on the property, as well as office space. The town of Basalt asked the public finance consulting firm, Ehlers, to analyze the developer's plan.
The firm concluded the developer could reasonably pitch in more to pay for the infrastructure that development requires, like improvements to surrounding roads and sidewalks.
Ehlers and the developer will present to the council on Tuesday night at Basalt Town Hall.
