This year’s ski passes are decorated again in collaboration between the Aspen Art Museum and the Aspen Skiing Company.
Laura Owens’ depictions of lemons falling from the sky are a continuation of the “Art In Unexpected Places” program that was launched a few years ago by SkiCo and the museum. Last year, Takashi Murakami had his images on the plastic cards.
The Elk Camp restaurant at Snowmass Ski Area also benefits from the program. Last year, Shinique Smith installed her mural called “Resonant Tides”.
