The Aspen Music Festival and School has released details on its 70th summer program. There will be more than 400 events to choose from.

The theme of this year’s summer season is “Paris, City of Light.”

“It’s fascinating the importance Paris has had over centuries of music making," said Alan Fletcher, AMFS' president and CEO.

The Aspen Opera Center will stage Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville” in July and Offenbach’s “The Tales of Hoffmann” in August.

This season also marks the 25th anniversary of Harris Concert Hall, which will be commemorated in a concert by violinist and Aspen alumnus Robert McDuffie.

The 70th season starts June 28.
