The Banff Mountain Film Festival is stopping in Aspen this week as it makes its way around the world.
The film festival began in 1976. Now around 300 filmmakers enter the competition each year.
This year’s tour features award-winning films that showcase luscious landscapes and remote cultures, as well as expose audiences to adventure and adrenaline.
One film chronicles an American skier who set a new world record for skiing 2.5 million vertical feet in the backcountry.
The Banff Mountain Film Festival will be hosted by Ute Mountaineer at The Wheeler Opera House tonight and Wednesday. Both screenings start at 7.
