Aspen Gay Ski Week officially, which runs through Sunday, marks the first time the annual event has hosted in-person events since before the pandemic began in early 2020.

Ticketed events have been sold out for months. And this year, the week of events coincides with the X Games, bringing to town larger-than-usual crowds.

Reporter Halle Zander sat down with Kevin McManamon, executive director of AspenOUT, to discuss what is new this year.

If you are a student in the Roaring Fork Valley in search of mental health resources, you can find information at aspenout.org.

Halle Zander is a broadcast journalist and the afternoon anchor on Aspen Public Radio during "All Things Considered." Her work has been recognized by the Public Media Journalists Association, the Colorado Broadcasters Association, and the Society of Professional Journalists.
