After losing the Roaring Fork Valley’s “mad scientist of seeds,” the community is gathering to celebrate the life and work of Casey Piscura. He founded Wild Mountain Seeds and Seed Peace, two organizations that work to connect people with locally grown food and educate farmers on regenerative practices. Casey’s family and friends said they will do everything they can to continue the seed business…but new orders are paused for now. The community is invited to celebrate Casey’s life and legacy at Sopris Creeks Ranch Wednesday from 4:30 to 8:30.
