Ibogaine from the iboga tree is emerging as a unique molecular entity with a growing scope of therapeutic and healing effects. Dr. Sames has been studying ibogaine and iboga alkaloids for more than 20 years and argues that ibogaine cannot be explained by classical scientific paradigms. He proposes a new theory of ibogaine action – termed “matrix pharmacology” – defined by complex and sophisticated interactions and reprogramming throughout the living system. He has put the theory to the test via ibogaine-induced states of consciousness resulting in a bold vision of ibogaine’s nature and its potential as a computational molecular technology.
