Bob Purvis

Bob and his family moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 1998 from London, England when he retired from a 30+ year career with BP America and predecessor companies. He served on the Planning Commission, Marketing Committee and subsequently, the Town Council in Snowmass Village including RFTA Board and EOTC duties. Over the years, he has been a Board member of the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES), Aspen Public Radio (APR) and Home Care and Hospice of the Valleys among others. He served as Chair of the ACES, APR and ACES Endowment Boards. His son, an Aspen High School graduate, and family live in Carbondale and his daughter, formerly a Valley resident, now lives in Greenville, SC. Bob currently resides in Carbondale and Marble while spending leisure time in Charleston, SC.
